finding the alphabet around us.
For this project you will need to do some major observation of your surroundings. You will photograph parts of objects, architecture, and nature to capture letters.
The key to this is CROPPING. A letter may not be obvious in something, but if you crop it right in your viewfinder, it's there.
BE ADVISED: You cannot make the letters. All of the letters you photograph should be of objects in their natural state. Do not move or manipulate things to make a letter. This will be reflected in your grade.
We will talk more in class about how to set up your images into the final file but here's this gist of how you'll proceed:
1. Take a photograph of each letter in the alphabet. These will be spot-checked on
Thursday, April 18, 2013.
2. Create a new file that is 18x24 inches and 300 dpi resolution.
3. Crop each photograph to a specific size (at least 2x2 inches)
4. Drag each cropped image to the 18x24 inch file and arrange the alphabet.
5. Adjust the levels on each photograph to maximize the drama and highlight the letter.
6. Post file to your WEEBLY site on a new page titled Alphabet by the end of class

You do not need to post the original photographs OR title your piece.

3. Your word must contain at least 5 letters!
4. Your letter's need to be the same height.
5. More words= more credit
Again, post your JPEG to your Alphabet page on your WEEBLY site by the end of class Friday, May 10, 2013.
